Meet the Wedding & Events Team

At The Kinsale Hotel & Spa

Andrei - Deputy General Manager

As Deputy General Manager at Kinsale Hotel & Spa, I oversee the smooth running of operations across the hotel, ensuring every guest experience is exceptional. A key part of my role involves working closely with the wedding team to help create unforgettable celebrations for our couples.

Weddings are such joyful occasions, and I love seeing the excitement and happiness on our couples’ faces as their vision comes to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of such a significant milestone in their lives. One of my favorite moments is when the couple first sees their reception space fully set up—it’s often a mix of awe and gratitude, and that reaction is truly priceless.

With years of hotel management experience, I bring a big-picture perspective and a focus on ensuring all departments work together seamlessly. My attention to detail helps ensure no stone is left unturned in making each wedding perfect. A particularly memorable moment was a couple’s surprise fireworks display over Oysterhaven Bay—it was magical for everyone, and seeing the couple’s reaction was unforgettable.

When I’m not helping to create magical weddings, I enjoy exploring the stunning surroundings of Kinsale, trying out new restaurants, and spending quality time with my family and friends. My favorite spot at the hotel for a romantic photo has to be the breathtaking view overlooking Oysterhaven Bay—it’s the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.

I also love the growing trend of personalizing every aspect of a wedding, from bespoke cocktails to unique table settings. It’s wonderful to see couples create a day that truly reflects their personality. My advice for couples is to plan early, prioritize what matters most to you, and trust your venue team—we’re here to make your day seamless and special.

Hi, my name is Celene, and I’m proud to be part of the team at Kinsale Hotel & Spa. My primary role is Spa Receptionist, where I use my excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming and positive experience for our guests and my colleagues. I’m energetic, helpful, and always strive to make everyone’s time with us as enjoyable as possible. With a passion for interior design, I have a keen eye for decorating, which enhances the atmosphere we create in the spa and beyond.

In addition to my work in the spa, I’m also part of the Wedding Team as a Wedding Stylist. I love bringing the magic of special occasions to life, from the grandeur of the overall setting to the intimate details of table decor. Every element is carefully considered to create an unforgettable experience, and I believe the quality and attention to detail in my work play a big part in making each wedding truly special.

My favorite moment of any wedding is seeing the bride and groom’s happiness—the sparkle in their eyes and the smiles on their faces mean everything to me. Making their day unforgettable is at the heart of what I do.

With a positive attitude and a great sense of humor, I bring energy and enthusiasm to my work with the Wedding Team. Together, we ensure that every couple’s dream comes true on their special day, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Fred - Executive Head Chef

Hi, I’m the Head Chef at Kinsale Hotel & Spa.

With over 35 years of experience in the culinary world, my passion for food was inspired by my grandmother’s farm and my early days working at Michelin-starred "Le Gindreau."

At Kinsale, I’m dedicated to crafting menus that showcase fresh, locally sourced ingredients while leading a talented team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

My favorite dish? “La Mique,” a beloved soup from my French roots.

Ines - Banqueting Manager

Ines - Banqueting Manager / Food & Beverage Assistant Manager

As the Food and Beverage Assistant Manager and Banqueting Manager at Kinsale Hotel & Spa, I ensure that all functions and weddings run smoothly, creating seamless and memorable experiences for our couples and their guests.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing couples genuinely happy with everything we’ve done to make their special day unforgettable. My favorite moment of a wedding day is after dinner, when everyone is fed, relaxed, and ready to enjoy the celebrations ahead.

I bring a high level of organization to the team, which helps everything run efficiently and stress-free. My advice for couples planning their big day is simple: don’t stress too much—everything will fall into place.

When I’m not busy helping to create magical weddings, I enjoy taking walks and exploring beautiful surroundings. My favorite spot at Kinsale Hotel & Spa for a romantic photo is the helipad, with its breathtaking background view.

Each wedding is unique, and while I don’t have a favorite trend, I love how every couple brings their own personality to their celebration, making it truly their own.

Karolina - Wedding & Events Manager

I’m the Weddings and Events Manager at Kinsale Hotel & Spa, where I create event proposals for our clients, complete with venue details, supplier recommendations, and timelines. Planning is my forte, and I absolutely love what I do!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know incredible couples and their unique love stories. We start as strangers, but by the time their big day arrives, we’ve become friends. I also cherish the creative process—bringing a couple’s vision to life and introducing fresh styles keeps every day exciting.

My favorite moment of any wedding day is bringing the bride to the ceremony and witnessing the couple’s first look—it’s such a melting moment! When it comes to wedding planning advice, I always say: follow your heart. Don’t let the pressure get to you or feel like you have to do something just because you ‘should.’ Do what makes you happy, and leave the planning to me!

Having worked in the hospitality industry for years across various sectors, I bring a wealth of experience to the team—there’s very little that can surprise me. One of the most memorable moments in my career was hearing my name mentioned in a couple’s speech. It was such an honor!

When I’m not busy creating magical weddings, I love baking and spending quality time with my family. My favorite spot at Kinsale Hotel & Spa for a romantic photo is undoubtedly the view of Oysterhaven Bay—it’s stunning. As for wedding trends, I adore Audio Guestbooks. Listening to recordings made after midnight must be hilarious! 😊

Sarah RDM

Sarah - Rooms Division & Revenue Manager

As the Rooms Division Manager at Kinsale Hotel & Spa, my role involves overseeing the Reservations Department, Accommodation Team, and Reception Team to ensure everything runs seamlessly. This places me at the heart of our interactions with wedding guests, from the moment they book until long after the celebrations have ended. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, helping to craft an unforgettable experience.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is meeting the families and friends of the happy couples. Weddings are deeply personal, and being entrusted with special requests to make each guest’s time with us perfect is a responsibility I cherish. For me, the magic truly begins when the bride and groom arrive—it’s the moment their celebrations come to life, and the joy is infectious.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but my advice for couples is to embrace teamwork. Let your bridesmaids, groomsmen, and our hotel team support you in bringing everything together. The details will fall into place, leaving you free to focus on what really matters—each other.

Organisation is my strength, and I pride myself on ensuring every guest is cared for, from securing the perfect accommodation to avoiding any double bookings. Whether it’s calming pre-ceremony nerves or checking in with guests during the day, I love being part of moments that create lasting memories.

Outside of weddings, I enjoy helping couples extend their celebrations. Whether it’s planning Hen Party bookings, wedding anniversary parties, or even family milestones like christenings or communions, I believe the journey doesn’t end with the wedding day. It’s about creating a lifetime of special moments.

Kinsale Hotel & Spa offers a wealth of stunning locations for romantic photographs, but my favourite has to be the old jetting among the ruins at the bottom of the gardens. Nestled amidst 90 acres of woodland, it’s a picturesque setting that perfectly complements the love and joy of the day. And when the weather allows, there’s something uniquely enchanting about exchanging vows surrounded by nature in our beautiful gardens.

Every wedding tells its own story, and it’s an honour to play a part in bringing those stories to life. From the laughter and happy tears to the unforgettable photos captured against our breathtaking backdrops, being part of these cherished moments makes my role truly special.
